UHF vs. VHF: UHF is typically better for indoor use or indoor and outdoor use. VHF is better for strictly outdoor use.
Display vs. Non-Display: The SL300 is available with a unique LED screen that is hidden beneath the case of the two way radio. It will show you what channel you are on, among other things.
